In a trailer that was released by Funimation recently with new English-subtitles,it was revealed that more English cast members will be joining the anime of Suu Minazuki’s Plunderer manga at New York Comic Con on Saturday. That video first showed us the new trailer and then after that, we saw an interview of the voice actors Aoi Ichikawa and Ari Ozawa.
The new cast members include Elizabeth Maxwell as Lynn May. She is voiced by Ari Ozawa in the Japanese dub. On the other hand, Austin Tindle voices Pele Popolo, who is also voiced by Aoi Ichikawa in Japanese. Moreover, it was revealed that Miku Itō will be performing the opening theme song which is called “Plunderer”, and Rina Honnizumi who is the voice of Hina will perform the ending theme song “Countless Days.”
The previous cast that was revealed included:
• Yoshiki Nakajima / Eric Vale as Licht Bach
• Rina Honnizumi / Sarah Wiedenheft as Hina
• Yuichiro Umehara as Jail Murdoch
• Shizuka Itou as Nana
Those of you who don’t know what this anime is about, here’s the official synopsis of the show:
“It’s the year 305 of the Alcian calendar, and the world is controlled by numbers. Every human born is branded with a “Count,” which could mean anything from the number of kilometers walked to the number of people who have said your food is tasty. And if your Count drops to 0… you’ll be sent into the Abyss! After Hina’s mother’s Count dropped to 0, her last request is for Hina to look for the Legendary Red Baron.”
The staff that will be working on this project includes Hiroyuki Kanbe, who will be directing the anime series at studio Geek Toys. He is also overseeing the series scripts, while Yuka Takashina, Yūki Fukuchi, and Hiroki Fukuda are designing the characters. Funimation will stream the anime as it airs in Japan. The anime will premiere in Japan in January 2020. Minazuki launched the manga series in Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine in December 2014.
