Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing well. I’m back here at TheAnimeScrolls with another brand new theory post. In this post, I’ll be talking about the golden lion Shiki’s return in Wano country arc. Yes, that’s right there is a big possibility that Shiki might be at Wano and in this post, I’ll present some pieces of evidence which support this theory. This theory has been presented by JoyBoy Theories, so all credits go to him.
Let’s begin this post regarding Shiki’s return in Wano country arc
First, let’s talk about who Shiki is. He is the first ever person to escape from Impel Down. Shiki is known as the flying pirate.
He has the power of Fuwa Fuwa no Mi devil fruit which allows him the ability to make anything float in the air just by a mere touch. He is the only remaining big-name pirate from Roger’s generation as both Whitebeard and Roger are dead. We have seen him in One Piece episode 0 and in one of One Piece movie in which he was the main villain but that wasn’t a Canon movie.
While some fans think that he’ll return in One Piece manga, others think that he was just introduced for the sake of the movie.
So, now let’s first discuss what are the pieces of evidence that hint that Shiki is indeed in Wano country. We did see in the recent One Piece chapter there was a floating roof spotted.
Well, there are just two characters that can make it float; One is Fujitora, and the other is Shiki. It’s obvious that Fujitora isn’t in Wano and until Oda doesn’t introduce another character with similar ability Shiki remains to be the only character capable of doing that.
We do know that Oda has told us that he is going to introduce a lurking legend in Wano. And I do think that Shiki is the only one that fits the description of both lurking and legend. As we know he decided to take a break from his pirate life after escaping from Impel Down.
We also know that he was the rival of Gol D Roger and Whitebeard, aka Edward Newgate. Also, we had a moment before the time skip, where we saw a floating island in a scene which involved Bege Capone.
Another piece of evidence that almost certainly confirms that Shiki is present in Wano is that the person we saw on one of the most controversial cover pages which involved Crocus.
Crocus was seen sharing a cup of sake with someone who appeared to be from Wano country. After we got the official colouring of this cover it is strikingly similar to that of Shiki.
First, his cape is same as Shiki everything its length and colour are exactly the same. We also get to see some part of this character’s arm and he has black clothing again same as Shiki. He also wears full sleeves with black sleeve clothes as seen in the movie and in One Piece episode zero. We don’t get to see this character’s legs, so we don’t know whether they are made of swords or not. Since we just saw his back portion, we didn’t even get to see his face.
Shiki also has a wheel stuck at the top of his head. We cannot say this character has that or not as he’s wearing a hat.
The only different thing seems to be the length of his hair which seems to be shorter than Shiki’s, but the colour of his hair is also same, that is golden.
Thus, it is almost certain that the guy with Crocus is Shiki. The two seem to have know each other for a long time. We know that Crocus was a crew member of Gol D Roger, and Shiki and Roger had many encounters with each other.
Even though that they were rivals, they had tremendous respect for each other. Now, both Shiki and Crocus have left their pirate lives, so its understandable they have been shown sharing a cup of Sake, because of the respect for each other.
Thus, its very much possible that the Lurking Legend that Oda is going to introduce in Wano country arc maybe Shiki himself.
Although, it is highly uncertain whether this theory will turn out to be true or not but I as a fan do want to see Shiki in the manga. So, let’s hope that Shiki’s return in Wano becomes a reality.
That is it from today’s post on Shiki’s return in Wank country. If you do not agree with the points in the post and have some of your own opinions, share them with us in the comments section down below. Keep visiting TheAnimeScrolls for more information about Anime, Manga and movies.
