The Jougan is the Kekkei Genkei ability of Boruto Uzumaki. There haven’t been any jougan users other than Boruto yet in Anime. Jougan is a unique and mysterious Kekkei Genkei. The Jougan was awakened for the first time when Boruto saw Nue’s negative chakra but after the Nue Arc it did not appear for sometime. In terms of power, the Jougan looks very interesting. Also, we know that Jougan is related to Ōtsutsuki clan.
The Jougan is thought to be based on the power of dark chakra, and negative emotions. This power has bee directly inherited from Naruto Uzumaki, and Kurama. We all know that Naruto Uzumaki has the power to sense negative emotions when in Nine Tails Chakra Mode. With the Jougan, Boruto Uzumaki can do the same, and he can even trace the source of the chakra. That’s not all.
Boruto was able to detect Momoshiki’s spirit after he had died, or see the invisible barrier of Space time created by the Nue. This Dōjutsu is also related to space and time, and we saw that when Boruto detected the Kamui like Dōjutsu ability during the Nue arc. It can see things that are not from this realm, and that is basically because of its connection to the Otsutsuki Clan. The Otsutsuki are not from this realm in which Boruto exists.
Instead, as confirmed by both Kinshiki Otsutsuki, and Momoshiki Otsutsuki, the members of the Otsutsuki Clan are from some other dimension. They can switch dimensions, and then go from planet to planet, and then they harvest and consume the Chakra Fruit. This is why the Jougan users can see between inter-dimension rifts. Further, the Jougan also has the power to detect the weak spot of a person, which makes it very powerful.
In the Key art for the Momoshiki arc, we could see Kinshiki Otsutsuki, Momoshiki Otsutsuki, and the Third Otsutsuki as well. The Dōjutsu that Kinshiki Otsutsuki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki possessed, was similar to Jougan, and when you look closely, it is the Jougan. So, of that’s the case, then each and every ability of the Jougan will be explained to us without much difficulty, and it’ll be done very soon. Meaning thay there are more Jougan users.
Can you guess any new Jougan users ?
